Crustylands description circa 1999: We are a group of autonomous free-spirited individuals who have decided to collectively turn our dreams into reality. One of our main goals is to get acreage where we will build an alternative powered community that will support a balance of our Tribe and Nature. The community will be governed solely by the members. There will be no leaders, chiefs, presidents or bosses. We believe that a modern tribal, Earth-friendly lifestyle is the example we want to set. We want to raise our children in this environment, so they grow wise and aware of the natural world, and why it should always be protected.
